About the site / Disclaimer

Fear of The Wild discusses the worries that college students and new graduates face. Student debt, anxieties, and overcoming the fears to become an adult are discussed. This is in no way a resource for career advice. It is not the be-all-and-end-all Ann Lander’s blog for students.

It was created for a way for students to see the alternative decisions they could make through school. There is no one way to achieve a career or purpose for life. I am no career or life coach, but I want to help you understand what you are facing from another perspective. I want you to shed your prejudice or your snobbery of low-end jobs and traditional career paths. But ultimately it is up to you to decide where you want to go in life. I want to show you how many options you actually have, and that being lost isn’t a bad thing at all.

Regarding Advertisements:

Fear of the wild is run using free WordPress hosting. Therefore, any ads here are mostly run through WordPress and I have no way of taking them out with my free account. I do not use Google Adsense, nor am I an associate for Amazon. Any links to products are for the interest of my readers and I do not create any revenue from any of my recommendations or reviews.

I do occasionally mention interesting internships and entry-level jobs that require little to no work experience for hire. I do this for free, but it also means I can choose whether or not to post an advertisement. I usually do this by scouring search and job engines for interesting jobs, but if you are from a company or know something interesting, please read my internship advertising / guest blogging page.
